    The median house price in the Rushmoor area is £280,000, almost £100,000 cheaper than other local areas such as Surrey Heath and Hart. Many properties in the Farnborough area are in the lower council tax bands, resulting in the abundance of cheaper housing. House prices have increased by 10% in Farnborough since 2015 when the average house price was £262,709.

    In 2016 1472 houses were sold in Farnborough. Of these house sales, 472 were flats, 447 terraced houses, 377 semi-detatched and 176 detatched. House prices in Farnborough are the most expensive in the Rushmoor area, the average terrace costs around £286,000 and a detatched costs an average of £450,000.   • Farnborough Buildings

    IQ Farnborough is a large business park situated in Farnborough, formerly known as Farnborough Business Park. The new park is going to include housing and refurbishing of wind tunnels on site. The frame of a 1910 Airshap Hangar has been reconstructed to build the centerpiece of the park. This has also become listed and a protected Grade II building.

    In 2003 TAG took control over Farnborough airport, after this they started a variety of infrastructure projects including a new radar unit and resurfaced runway. A new control tower and terminal building was also built and opened in 2006, designed by Reid Architecture and Buro Happold. These new buildings were nominated for Building of the Year in 2007 by Building Magazine.
